Cookie policy
How we use cookies
Last updated: 11 August 2026
This cookie policy explains how clickvaultnest.pro uses cookies and similar technologies, what each category does, how your choices affect site features such as Google Maps, and how you can change or withdraw consent. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data more broadly under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit—such as your cookie consent choice—across pages and, where applicable, on return visits. Similar technologies include local storage entries, which store data in your browser without sending it to our servers on every page load.
Cookies may be set by the website you are visiting ("first-party cookies") or by a third party whose content is embedded on the page ("third-party cookies"). On clickvaultnest.pro, most cookies we control directly are first-party. Third-party cookies may be set when you accept functional cookies and a Google Maps embed loads.
2. How we categorise cookies
We group cookies into three categories. Our cookie banner lets you accept all categories, reject all non-essential categories, or customise your choices before saving.
2.1 Essential cookies
Essential cookies are strictly necessary for the Site to function and to record your consent decision. Without them, we cannot remember whether you have accepted or rejected optional cookies, and the consent banner would appear on every page view.
On clickvaultnest.pro, essential cookies include:
- cvn_consent — stores your cookie preference object (essential, functional, and analytics flags) as a first-party cookie
- cookie_consent_v1 — a local storage mirror of the same preference object, used as a fallback if cookie storage is unavailable
Essential cookies cannot be disabled through our preference panel because the Site depends on them to honour your choices. They do not track you across unrelated websites and are not used for advertising.
2.2 Functional cookies
Functional cookies enable enhanced features that are not strictly required for basic browsing. On this Site, the primary functional use is loading embedded Google Maps that show our studio location near Kampong Glam.
When you click Accept all on the cookie banner, or enable functional cookies in the customise panel and save, our JavaScript loads a Google Maps iframe into map frames across the Site. When you click Reject all, or leave functional cookies disabled, maps are replaced with a placeholder message and an optional "Load map" button that enables functional cookies for that session if you choose to proceed.
Google Maps is classified under functional cookies because it provides a location convenience feature rather than being required for the Site to operate. The studio address remains visible as plain text on our Directions page regardless of your cookie choice.
When the Google Maps embed loads, Google may set its own cookies and collect data such as your IP address and interaction with the map. That processing is governed by Google's policies. We do not control third-party cookies set by Google. If you prefer not to interact with Google services, reject functional cookies and rely on the written address and external maps application of your choice.
2.3 Analytics cookies
Analytics cookies, where used, help a website owner understand how pages are visited and whether navigation is clear—typically through aggregated, pseudonymous statistics. Our cookie banner includes an analytics toggle for transparency and consistency with common consent frameworks.
Clickvault Nest does not currently deploy analytics cookies on clickvaultnest.pro. No analytics scripts, audience measurement pixels, or session recording tools are loaded regardless of your banner selection. The analytics toggle is present so that if we introduce analytics in future, you will already have a mechanism to refuse them without revisiting the entire consent design.
Choosing "Accept all" therefore enables essential and functional cookies only—not analytics. Choosing "Reject all" enables essential cookies only. Customising and saving with analytics enabled has no additional effect today because no analytics tools are connected.
3. Cookie banner and preference controls
On your first visit to clickvaultnest.pro, a cookie banner appears at the bottom of the screen. You may:
- Accept all — enable essential and functional cookies; analytics remains off because we do not use it
- Reject all — enable essential cookies only; Google Maps embeds remain hidden behind placeholders
- Customise — open the preference panel and set functional and analytics toggles individually, then click Save preferences
Preference toggles are operated with buttons (not form fields), consistent with our static site architecture. Essential cookies are always on and cannot be toggled off while using the Site.
Your saved choice is written to the cvn_consent cookie and to local storage under cookie_consent_v1. Both records contain a version flag, timestamp, and boolean values for essential, functional, and analytics categories.
4. Retention period
Your consent record is retained for six months (approximately one hundred and eighty days) from the date you save a preference. After expiry, the consent cookie reaches its maximum age and the banner reappears so you may review and update your choices.
Six months balances convenience—you are not asked on every visit—against the PDPA principle that consent should not be assumed indefinitely. When the banner reappears, your previous choice is not automatically reapplied; you make a fresh selection unless you actively choose the same options again.
Third-party cookies set by Google when Maps loads follow Google's own retention schedules. You may delete those separately through browser controls described in section 5 below.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
In addition to our on-site controls, you can manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view stored cookies, block third-party cookies, delete all cookies for a site, or receive a warning before cookies are set.
Common browser paths:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies (or "Cookies and other site data")
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies
If you delete essential cookies for clickvaultnest.pro, the consent banner will treat you as a new visitor and ask for preferences again. Blocking all cookies may prevent the Site from remembering your choices and can interfere with functional features even if you intend to accept them.
To withdraw functional consent without clearing all cookies, use the button below or reopen the cookie banner via the customise control if it is visible. Setting functional cookies to off and saving will remove Google Maps iframes and restore placeholders.
6. Relationship between accept, reject, and Google Maps
The table below summarises how common choices affect map behaviour on clickvaultnest.pro:
- Reject all: Maps hidden; placeholder shown; address text still available
- Accept all: Maps load on pages that include a map frame, subject to network connectivity
- Customise — functional off: Same as reject for map purposes
- Customise — functional on: Maps load as with accept all
- Placeholder "Load map" button: Temporarily enables functional consent to load the map on that page
Map frames use variant MAP-D on legal and policy pages—a compact embed suited to footer-adjacent location references. Larger map variants on other pages follow the same consent rules.
7. Do Not Track and global privacy control
Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals. Our Site does not respond to such signals with automated opt-out mechanisms beyond the cookie banner already presented, because we do not operate cross-site tracking and do not deploy analytics cookies. Your explicit choice through the banner remains the authoritative record of consent for functional embeds.
8. Changes to this policy
If we add new cookies, change retention periods, or enable analytics in future, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date. Where required under the PDPA, we will seek fresh consent before activating new non-essential cookies.
